· Multi-Jet Design: Unlike other types of water meters, such as single-jet or turbine meters, multi-jet water meters utilize multiple inlet jets to generate rotational movement of the impeller. This design improves sensitivity and accuracy, especially at low flow rates.
· Impeller Mechanism: The meter contains an impeller, which is a rotating component with several blades or vanes. The water flow causes the impeller to spin, and the speed of rotation is proportional to the water flow rate.
· Register: The meter has a register that displays the measured water consumption. The register can be mechanical (analog) or digital, depending on the specific model. It provides readings in units of volume, such as gallons or cubic meters.
· Magnetic Drive: Many multi-jet water meters employ a magnetic drive system to transmit the rotational motion from the impeller to the register. This eliminates direct contact between the wet and dry components, ensuring better durability and reducing the risk of water leakage or damage.
· Wide Flow Range: Multi-jet water meters are designed to measure a wide range of flow rates accurately. They are suitable for both residential and commercial applications where water consumption varies from low to high rates.
