An electromagnetic flow meter, also known as a magmeter, is a type of flow meter used to measure the flow rate of conductive fluids in a pipe or conduit. It operates on the principle of Faraday's Law of electromagnetic induction.
The electromagnetic flow meter consists of a flow tube, which is a non-obstructive, straight-through pipe that allows the fluid to flow freely. Inside the flow tube, there are two electrodes placed opposite to each other. These electrodes are in contact with the fluid. When an electric current is applied through the electrodes into the fluid, a magnetic field is generated perpendicular to the flow direction.
