The ultrasonic water meter measures water flow using ultrasonic waves, providing accurate and non-intrusive readings. Brief introduction

An ultrasonic water meter is a device that uses ultrasonic technology to measure water flow. Its working principle is based on the principles of the Doppler effect and sound propagation.

Ultrasonic water meters usually consist of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter emits an ultrasonic pulse that travels through the water flow and is picked up by the receiver.

As an ultrasonic pulse travels through still water, its frequency and speed remain constant. However, when an ultrasonic pulse passes through flowing water, it is subject to the Doppler effect. The Doppler effect is the change in the frequency of the received wave when the source and receiver are moving relative to the fluid.

Ultrasonic water meters use the Doppler effect to measure water velocity. As ultrasonic waves rush through flowing water, its frequency changes. The receiver detects this frequency change and calculates the water velocity based on the frequency change.

By measuring the cross-sectional area of the water flow velocity pipe, the sonic water meter can calculate the water flow through the pipe. It monitors the water flow in real time and transmits the data to the relevant system display.
